10 Women Designers Who Can Inspire Your Work
A list of some of the most creative, courageous, and brilliant women in the industry
Hello, Newsletter folks! I have been occupied with different projects at work and haven’t been able to spend time on an article this week! But I want to give something to you consistently, and not break the streak! :) So here’s a list of 10 women whom I look up to when it comes to their contributions to design in the present times. I am certainly hopeful that if you follow their work, you will take with you a thing or two every day.
There are thousands of fantastic women out there, designing fabulous things. But this list has a handful of women who have had a strong effect on me and my work style.
1. Alice Rawsthorn - For bringing together the perspectives of design from different fields
2. Debbie Millman - For everything on branding, and asking deep questions
3. Georgia Lupi - For pursuing humanity and creativity in data
4. Abby Covert - For making Information Architecture fun
5. Ellen Lupton - For mentoring and geeking out on typography and graphic design
6. Mari Andrew - For transforming raw personal emotions into art
7. Julie Zhuo - For holding the torch for design managers
8. Devon Ko - For defining a path for 3D designers
9. Charlie Marie - For the inspiring WFH vlogs and simplified craft videos
10. Femke - For creating a platform and opening up on the challenges that women in design go through and overcome
Designers of other genders, I love you, and I have learned so much from you that I will make a different post. This share is for those rummaging peeps who like to catch sight of some of the women-badasses in the design industry.
Stay inspired! <3
